Mothers Day Twins Game.

We went to our first Twins Game as a family on Mothers day with the Barnetts. We all had a great time - especially the kids- they had nachos, popcorn and lots of pop for dinner. Well balanced meals are definitly over rated.
Unfortunately we had to leave in the 7th inning. Carson nearly fell down the stairs running up and down. And He excercised his lungs a bit to much when we forced him to stay in one spot- cueing our time to leave.

Our little Charmer

I can hardly believe Adison is almost 4 months old. ( I am so glad she has survived in the Border house. ) She is starting to develop quite the personality. She has become extremely smiley and giggles occasionally if you say the right things. She even enjoys watching her brothers jump over her and loves when they pull her to her feet. (yes this is scary to watch) She especially enjoys when Mike plays drop the baby with her- he pretends to drop her and just as he catches her she giggles. It won't be long before she is going on mach roller coaster rides in her carrier, courtesy of Mike. Don't call child protection just yet- it is all in fun and truly not that dangerous after all Garrett and Carson survived the first two years.

Carson the biker

OH MY- Carson loves his bike. Mike surprised Carson and Me on the first rainy day of spring with a new bike. Carson loves his flamed helmet "big boy bike." Although he is not as fast as Garrett yet he feels like he is a big kid now. How hard it is to see him growing up so fast. On the other hand he reminds me everyday that he is still only 2 years old. I can't tell you how many afternoons he has gone to bed screaming because he can't ride his bike anymore. Those are afternoons when I wish I was a napper.

Super Heros in Action

Garrett and Carson have had hours of fun the past few weeks playing super heroes outside. I haven't mentioned the impeccable imagination Garrett has. Some of his most recent super hero work includes tearing trees out of the ground with his Rescue Hero Vehicle, Cleaning his super fire truck with his side kick Carson (better known as Batman these days), and finally putting fires out in the neighbors playhouse with mud from the mud river he created with our 14 year old neighbor.

The Johnson Farm

Carson and Garrett loved visiting the Johnson Farm. Carson loved the cows and Garrett's favorite part was the Hayloft and holding the farm kittens. It was a blast. A little eye opening seeing the harsh reality of a farmer who works himself so hard that he can barely walk. He only gets to take naps in a chair for ten minutes here and there because there is so much work to do. I realized how lucky I am. It also gave me a whole new appreciation for the milk I drink.

Find a penny ...

Find a Penny Pick it up and one day you will not be able to pee anymore.

That is how Garrett would finish this saying. Unfortunately Garrett has become quite oral and now puts everything in his mouth. A couple of weeks ago he swallowed a jelly ring, and last week he swallowed a penny.

He has been having difficulty peeing at night (so he says) and he told me "Mom I figured out why I can't pee, the penny that I swallowed is blocking my pee from coming out" - So he is anxiously waiting for the day the penny finally arrives in his poop- that way he can pee when he wants to (he checks daily- eyes only not to worry)

Precious moments with Friends

Our Freinds from Connecticut visited last week. We all had a blast jumping on the trampoline, playing outside, visiting with other friends, and watching our 6 children transform every inch of my house into a play zone. It was quite commical. At one point the kids were trying to move our bed with heavy duty rope and "tools" and the next moment they were space rangers on a mission to put out fires in our basement. There was never a dull moment. They tired themselves out every day, even Garrett was taking naps without whining.

The best part was when Duke decided to pee on Gretchens Mary poppins bag(seriously this bag has no bottom to it, she can and does fit everything in it). Fortunately it was a diaper bag that cleaned up easily.

If only I would have taken pictures of the mess we all made. I am so glad God blessed Gretchen and I with the ability to relax and not clean for a week in order to enjoy a week of fun together. We stayed up way to late and got up was to EARLY, watched movies, ate a lot of junk food, and danced a little latin hip hop.

I wouldn't change a single day. It was great having them at our house.
