Digging for Bones

Well Garrett and Carson have a favorite dinosaur song called going on a dino hunt. So we did - We went digging for bones at the local park. And what do ya know, we found two fossils of baby dinosaurs. It was really amazing, just look at how amazed Garrett was. It was priceless. Unfortunately for me he thinks we are going to find more dinosaur bones at the same park very soon. Hopefully I can find some before we go digging again. After our hunt we were fortunate enough to come across three different turtles. The boys were really excited, since they have been searching for turtles ever since we gave Freckels away.

Slip and Slide right off

Garrett and Carson enjoyed the slip and slide with Ben and Grace last week. Carson's pants slid right off and Garrett had a blast playing with his buddy Benny Boy.

Our Angel in the sky

I had an idea for a picture so Garrett helped me take it.

Just a picture for Mike

I am putting this picture in for Mike, He likes to tell me that the people at work think I am fat since he has no pictures of me only the kids. So here is a picture I had Garrett take of me and Carson. Of course I do not take him seriously. If you know Mike at all you know not to take anything he says seriously. He is kidding 85% of the time.

Our Little Dare Devil

Yes I did say dare devil. For those of you who are very literal I am not calling my son the devil. Although there have been days when I swear he has to be possessed, and then I realize he's simply just two. A two year old who can talk really well and who knows exactly what he wants and when. Needless to say this amazing little boy keeps us on our toes, and laughing a lot. We wouldn't change a thing about him. ( okay- a little less screaming would be nice)
He recently decided that it was much more fun to ride on the top of bike seat-only going backwards. His favorite thing to do is ride the skateboard down the driveway on his stomach. Funny since we don't even own a skateboard- he borrows it from the neighbors. I just keep praying that he doesn't break his arm or leg. He also loves to clean himself with hand soap whenever I am not around.
Some of Carson's favorite "funny" phrases areDon't tell me what to do- NOO- I DO IT-Do dit again dad- Mom told me- Dad say- Dad told me- I pee on you- I don't like poopy sandwhiches- Eat momma eat-
The best one I LOVE ME TOO when you tell him you love him.
It really is fun to watch this little man in action. Right down to his happy run and need to snuggle after baths (how I savor these moments)

A Great Birthday Surprise for Me and Daisy

Well my birthday has pasts and Mike and the boys surprised me as I woke up with a cake, flowers and a balloon. The boys were thrilled to have cake for breakfast- a tradition we have recently started. After cake we went out for the day for free ice cream from cold stone creamery and a bowl of pasta from Noodles. (I encourage everyone to join the birthday clubs at their websites for free birthday ice cream and noodles). When we returned in the late afternoon Daisy had the remainder of the cake on her face. It may be hard to tell in the picture but her entire face was pink from frosting. It was hilarious.

Martha Stewart eat your heart out

Yes can you believe it, we have a huge garden at our house. Here is a lovely picture I know even Martha would love. It was taken early enough in the season that there is no weeds. Give it some time, I am sure the weeds will creep in and take over.

The Knights Castle

Garrett spent an hour building this amazing castle. Complete with "draw bridges" and "secret hiding places." It was truly amazing how proud he was of himself. He ran up stairs and said mom grab the camera, you need to take a picture of this.

SO of course I did. Lucky for me it was just fast enough. Seconds later the destructo man - Carson, came behind me and demolished the entire thing. Garrett tried hard not to cry. I had to laugh and Carson said Do Dit again mommy. I am glad Garrett has patience.

Adisons "RASH"

Well Adison has aquired an awful rash. That not only I am so sick of, all of my freinds are likely sick of hearing about because I just can't figure out how to get rid of this thing. I have had lots of advice from people and have tried many things. So you will all be happy to hear we will be going to the doctor on Thursday. I am hoping they will have insight on how to rid our little princess of the redness on her chin. We shall see. For now this is how her chin will look.

Puddle Jumping Fun

The Boys enjoyed splishing and splashing in puddles throughout the neigborhood during our first big rain this year. Of course this was after we spent an hour in our basement waiting for the tornado to come. Fortunately it missed our neighborhood. Garrett had lots of fun calling people and telling them the tornado was coming.

Garrett's Last Day of Preschool

Wow a whole year of preschoool has already past. Of course it is bitter sweet for all of us. Garrett will miss his awesome teachers, hopefully they will miss him too, he'll have more time with Carson, Adison and Me (not sure how he feels about this), I will have no more days with only two- when will I shop?

Of course we all know that it just means summer is here and we will have more time to play. SANDALS- BEACHES- YMCA - TANS- CAMPING- who could ask for anything more?

A new type of swimming pool

While I was cooking dinner this evening the boys decided to make a swimming pool today in the basement. This is a picture of Garrett getting stuck after diving in. I arrived shortly after he starting calling "MOM help I am stuck." Of course I looked down stairs saw his feet in the air and grabbed the camera. Carson ran to the rescue and jumped in after him, only he landed on Garrett's head.
